Indonesia Accommodation - Dive in!

Indonesia accommodation

During your trip with us you'll stay in Indonesia accommodation that reflects the character of your surroundings. You'll experience a wide variety of styles and standards of Indonesia accommodation, for example you might spend a night with a local village or in a deluxe cottage on a tropical island.

We use a hand-picked selection of authentic hotels with lots local character, and therefore steer clear of international chains. We personally ensure that each property has the right combination of features such as cleanliness, location, friendly staff and good service. We're confident that you'll enjoy our Indonesia accommodation options just as much as our previous customers.

We use a pool of Indonesia accommodation in each destination, which means that if one hotel is full, we are able to offer another of equal standard. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you a comprehensive list of the hotels you'll be staying in.

Accommodation Comfort Levels

Indonesia Travel Plan uses a category of 1 to 4 to rate the Indonesia accommodation we use. Our standard is comfort level 3, and in general the Indonesia accommodation we mention throughout the website falls into this category. Our ratings are not official star ratings.

Comfort Level 1 - Basic Indonesia Accommodation
Basic Indonesia accommodation in a hut/tent with limited facilities. This level of accommodation is during our Footsteps on the volcano module when you stay in small tents on the Rinjani crater rim.

Comfort Level 2 - Simple Indonesia Accommodation
Simple but reasonably comfortable, private room with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, and often no air conditioning. Usually beautifully located in open settings with rural atmosphere. Our Bali Homestay in the Hills falls into this category.
Indonesia Accommodation - Traditional homes
Indonesia Accommodation - Beach resort
Category 3 - Comfortable Indonesia Accommodation
Most of our Indonesia accommodation falls into this category. Clean, charming and well-kept, full of character, with private bathrooms and in good locations. They vary from cosy guesthouses to bungalows on the beach. Most of our category 3 properties include air-conditioning, with fans available at some of the more remote locations. Our Rumbling Bromo module falls into this category.

Category 4 – Very Comfortable Indonesia Accommodation
Spacious bungalow or room, tastefully decorated and with extra facilities. E.g. historic villa or modern hotel, usually with a pool. Our comfort option in Makassar is an example of comfort level 4.

Previous Customer Feedback

The hotel in Saur in Bali was lovely as was the hotel in the Gili islands. Brian L

It is easier to say we loved all the hotels because of different character, friendliness, excellent meals, pools etc - always clean. The guest house in Malang was certainly different with the help yourself, do it yourself attitude but all very friendly & a mixture of clientele. Ubud accommodation was very special & beautiful. Christine L

Each hotel was quite special and each had its own charms so, very difficult to single one out as a favourite. Elizabeth C

The resort in Pemuteran in North Bali was stunning, unique, wonderful! It was so restful and tranquil, and the restaurant was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A wonderful place! The hotel in Sanur was lovely - botanical gardens and having breakfast overlooking the sea - beautiful. Gareth H
