Since the launch of Indonesia Travel Plan, we have sent lots of customers to Indonesia using our short Indonesia tours and longer holidays in Indonesia. Here is a snippet of the fantastic feedback that we have received from our returning travellers, and we're constantly updating this page to squeeze in the positive comments as they come our way.

As a small, ethical company, we really do listen to the feedback of our customers. This means that we regularly update and review the accommodation and the activities that we offer in order to give you the best Indonesia holiday we possibly can.

General Comments

We really liked your itineraries and the types of accommodation you provided - small, friendly and quite unique. You must have carried out a great deal of research to be able to create such a wonderful, well-timed itinerary with so much interest, good accommodation and well-informed guides. All the accommodation was beautiful and a good mixture of relaxation and activities. We really got the impression that you'd listened to and then given us what we wanted, which was great. The hotels at Sanur and North Bali were so lovely, and driving between places with friendly drivers enabled us to see the country. Gareth H.

We had a brilliant holiday and were extremely pleased and impressed with how smoothly it all went. We liked staying in the smaller, more personal hotels and guesthouses, and felt it gave us a more authentic feel for the country and people. Denise H.

We loved all the different activities and the fact that we moved around lots gave us the chance to see so much of the islands and decide which bits we liked best. For us the activities and chance to get out and meet people, the friendliness and easy going nature of the local people and the way we could easily get away from the main tourist areas was a plus. Local Staff and Service in Indonesia

Brilliant. All arrangements worked like clockwork. Drivers were always there when booked, always arriving early, and all activities pretty much happened as expected... We always felt very safe with our driver - he was competent, didn't take risks, and tried to chat to us whenever there was something of interest to point out. Likewise the drivers/guides on Bali were excellent and really added to the experience. Denise H.

This was excellent. Everything went exactly to plan. Our driver Jono was great. He was friendly and helpful and always found really good local guides who spoke very good English He was very patient and accommodating. Pauline P.

Holiday highlights

Hard to say - it was all very enjoyable, and an excellent mix of longer more tiring days, and 'relaxing' days. Travelling as we did gave a real insight into the countries through which we travelled - Java and Bali, whilst still being able to enjoy a good degree of comfort. If pushed, I would say we really enjoyed the experience of visiting Mount Bromo, which was stunning, and the Water Palace at Tirtagangga, on Bali, where we stayed. But perhaps the best part overall was the reassurance from very early on that all the arrangements were working perfectly, and we could just relax and enjoy it all. Denise H.

We really enjoyed our trek in the jungle in Sumatra (seeing the orangutans especially) because we hadn't expected it to be so hands on - I'd imagined it to be simply looking out over the jungle on a viewing platform or something so to actually be there amongst all the animals was really good!! Gili Islands for tropical paradise or seeing the sun rise over Bromo - it was like being on the moon. Helena K.

The whole experience of Indonesia was brilliant, we really enjoyed seeing places, meeting people and having chance to get a bit of a feel for life in Indonesia. It is a fantastic country and even by only seeing 3 islands we got to see such a diversity of people, places and customs Sarah H.

The beautiful countryside, the people, the accommodation and of course the dolphin watching and snorkelling. Robert K.

The bicycle tour through the rice fields and the local communities was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I will definitely recommend this to anyone interested in Bali and when we return to Bali, will be doing this again. John G.

So many highlights it's really difficult to choose but we really liked our stay on Gili Meno. Elizabeth C.

The day at Pangandaran because the local guide, Ab, was absolutely fantastic. Everywhere he took us was so interesting and he was so informative and fun to be with... He showed us animals in the national park that we would never have seen on our own. He fitted in everything that we asked to do and several other things as well and arranged for us to have a fab lunch sitting on the beach. Pauline P.

Visit to Sulawesi Toraja to meet local people. Great guides and fascinating exposure to a totally different way of life. Gili Trawangan was fantastic because it was unusual and very relaxed with great snorkelling and diving. Brian L.

Fantastic. I would like to particularly mention Erica. She organised everything for us and sent me very informative emails. Always responded to my calls and was polite and friendly. Sarah was also very good and gave me some useful information about the destination as she had already been there.
