Our short Java travel tours (modules) will give you a taste of everything Java has to offer - volcanoes, rice paddies, tea plantations, jungle, and cities with remnants of their historic Dutch colonial past. The Java travel packages below are listed from west to east, so that you can easily hop on the ferry and continue your Indonesia travels with a few of our Bali tours.

If your traveling in low season during your Java travel experience, you’ll travel by private car with driver. If you're travelling anytime between 1st July - 30th September you’ll travel by minibus (maximum 6 passengers).

Prices below are valid until 31st December 2012, are based on two people travelling and exclude international flights. Prices for departures beyond this date and for international flights are available on request. West Java Travel Starter Pack Easy Going Bogor

Bogor is a peaceful place in the cool hills to the east of Jakarta. The cool shaded garden of your countryside accommodation is a wonderful place to recover from your long flight, which is why we suggest sthat you start your Java travel experience here in Bogor rather than the noisy, chaotic city of Jakarta. You’ll be picked up at the airport by your driver for the 2-hour drive to your accommodation, set in beautiful green surroundings. A private guide will take you to the botanical gardens of Bogor and for during the rest of this Java tour you can just relax by the pool and enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

West Java Travel Wandering through cities and plantations

The countryside between Bogor and Bandung is filled with tea plantations and rice paddies as far as the eye can see. This Java travel tour begins in Bogor where you will continue your trip via the Puncak Pass to Bandung, once known as the ‘Paris of Java’ for its broad boulevards and stylish houses. During your Java travels, you'll have plenty of time to wander idly through the plantations and charming Dutch colonial cities of western Java.

West Java Travel Volcanoes, temples and beaches

Duration:	5 days / 4 nights

Route:	Bandung - Cipanas - Pangandaran - Wonosobo - Yogyakarta

During this Java travel experience, you'll spend five days exploring the fascinating area between Bandung to Yogyakarta. The route will take you past tea plantations and rice paddies, active volcanoes, traditional villages and beautiful nature reserves. From Bandung your Java travels will take you via Leles to Cipanas where you’ll visit a Hindu temple by the rather unusual means of horse and cart and bamboo raft. Here, you can also climb the active volcano Papandayan. On this adventurous Java travel tour, you'll also visit a traditional village and relax on the beach of Pangandaran before heading to the Dieng Plateau with its towering mountain ridges and highlands, spectacular views and active craters.

Central Java Travel Wonders of Yogya

Yogyakarta lies in the central part of Java. This city of ancient temples, palaces, batik workshops and gamela orchestras is also the gateway for the nearby wonders of the world. An hour away from Yogya, you'll find the largest Buddhist monument in the world: the Borobudur. You should plan at least 2 hours to explore this immense temple during your Java travel tour because you’ll be amazed at the intricate details on the walls of the temple buildings. We can also definitely recommend a visit to Prambanan if you really want to get to know the area around Yogyakarta. As part of this Java travel package, you'll wander through the mystical Hindu temple complex and lose yourself in the legends of the goddess Shiva.

Central Java Travel Rumbling Bromo

Route:	Yogyakarta - Malang - Mount Bromo

During your Java travels, you'll explore the eastern part of the island. Volcanoes and unprecedented views are just some of the highlights you’ll come across, as well as authentic Javan villages. This Java travel tour begins in Yogyakarta, from where you’ll travel via Surakarta to Malang. You'll visit the palaces of Surakarta and scour the enormous markets for antiques and traditional batik paintings. Malang is at a higher altitude which means the climate is a little cooler. It is a colonial city set amongst hills of coffee plantations and it is also the departure point for climbing the Tenger mountain range. Of course, your Java travels wouldn't be complete without climbing to the top of Mount Bromo and walking along the crater’s edge of this active volcano. Enjoy some spectacular views from the top of the volcano before heading back to your cottage.

East Java Travel Hills and plantations

Route:	Mount Bromo - Kalibaru

Kalibaru in eastern Java lies at the foot of the volcano Raung. Thanks to its higher altitude this picturesque village has a refreshingly cool climate. Kalibaru is a good base for visiting the nearby coffee, cocoa and rubber plantations on the Ijen plateau and it's a pleasant traditional stop on your Java travels towards the eastern tip of Java.
