Travelling in Indonesia: How does it work? Travelling in Indonesia has something for everyone, from serene temples to colonial cities, from smoking volcanoes to dense jungle, from lush rice paddies to paradise beaches. We've chosen as many small-scale hotels and guesthouses as possible, to give you a true sense of local atmosphere and hospitality. You could start your Indonesia trip with an Easy Going Starter Pack, which includes an airport transfer and two nights in a quiet and (usually) rural location. They're a great way to recover from the long flight. You can then start on one of our many modules. When travelling in Indonesia, we like to travel from west to east, starting on Java, then gradually making your way eastwards to Bali, before ending with some relaxation on the tropical Gili Islands, but you could always choose a different route, perhaps taking in some of the other islands or travelling in a different direction. |
If you would like some ideas about travelling in Indonesia, then take a look at our Indonesia itineraries. Here, we’ve combined a number of modules into a logical order to create longer and more complete itineraries. Of course, modifications are still possible to these Indonesia itineraries- a day less here, a day longer there, an extra few days on the beach etc. Once again, you're in charge.
In Indonesia, you’ll travel by car with driver, but on Bali you could choose to travel across the island by hire car. Driving on Bali is very easy because the traffic is so slow, though you’ll need to keep your eyes open for everyone and everything wandering across the road. If you’d like to do Bali by self-drive, click here for more information on Bali car hire. If you’d prefer a car with driver, expect to pay 20-30 euros per person for transfers between the individual Indonesia adventure tours.
How to book:
1) When you have selected the sequence of modules or the suggested itinerary that you are interested in, please submit these details along with any other comments via our quote request form or give us a quick call on 01273 322052.
2) We will then send you a detailed quotation - a Travel Plan.
3) Once we have got your Indonesia Travel Plan just right and you are completely happy with the itinerary, please book the trip by submitting your details via the booking form or call us.
