Forests and islands Route: Pemuteran - Mejangan Island - PemuteranThe Bali Barat National Park in the north-western tip of Bali is a great destination for trekking through the jungle forest to spot monkeys and tropical birds in their natural habitat. To the north is a tiny island which may not have the idyllic paradise island image but which does have a fantastic coral reef. Let us know if you’d like to do a PADI course here. During this trip in Indonesia, you’ll stay in a comfortable, charming resort on the beautiful North Bali beach of Pemuteran, one of the few places in Bali with an exceptionally lovely white sandy beach. Day 1: Arrival PemuteranOnce you've arrived in Pemuteran and settled in to your cottage on the first day of your trip in Indonesia, you can enjoy a lunch in the hotel restaurant - we can recommend the fresh fish. The resort has a lovely pool, the perfect place to cool off with a refreshing dip. |

Day 2: Boat trip to Mejangan IslandOn day two of your trip in Indonesia, you'll go to Menjangan Island on a boat trip. It's very quiet here with just a handful of visitors, a sapphire blue sea and the most beautiful coral reefs of Bali. Divers come here all the way from Lovina just to swim and dive in these waters. Local diving schools offer PADI Open Water or Advanced courses, so just let us know if you'd like us to book a course for you during your trip in Indonesia.Don't worry- you don't necessarily need to go diving to enjoy the waters during your trip in Indonesia - a mask, snorkel and fins will get you close enough to the brightly coloured fish and coral just below the surface. |
Day 3: PemuteranOn dya three of your trip in Indonesia, you can choose to do something completely different. Instead of paddling in the water, you can arrange an optional but thrilling trek through West Bali National Park (booked locally). It's a strenuous hike but you'll be rewarded with an abundance of exotic nature, rare birds and monkeys. The trek takes about 3 hours so you can spend the afternoon recovering and relaxing back at the resort, or take another dive underwater in the clear blue sea. |

Day 4: Departure Pemuteran - End of moduleAfter breakfast, this trip in Indonesia comes to an end. Most tourists come here for the diving but don't tend to stay on the beach, which gives the place a sense of peaceful exclusivity. Menjangan is definitely a place to come back to, especially if you're planning on diving in Bali during your trip in Indonesia. If you'd like to spend some more time on the beaches of North Bali, just let us know and we'll book an extra night for you. You could also spend a few days relaxing in an authentic Bali beach bungalow on the southern tip of Bali or continue your trip with one of our other short Bali tours. |
